Beit Atfal Assumoud sport club was established in 1989 in Nahr El-Bared center to give the Palestinian youth the opportunity to practice all kinds of sports activities.
Activities practiced in the club:
1.Football: four groups (Men, Youth, Teenagers, and Sprouts).
2.Ping Pong
3.Marathon
4.Chess
There are 110 members in the club divided into players, coaches and managers.
The members participate in local champions and in the sportive activities organized by the adjacent Lebanese clubs. In addition, they participate in the different cultural, national, social and recreational activities.
In 2012, a special football club was established for the Palestinian refugee from Syria. This was to give them the opportunity to practice sport and reduce the trauma they faced during the Syrian crisis.
Assumoud sport club depends on the contribution of the head office and players, and on the donations from some expatriates to cover the expenses such as; sportswear, shoes, transportation, renting playgrounds, organizing local and abroad sportive rounds.
