On the 13 and 14 of May 2016
and in presence of Ms. Anne Jorem , Charge d'Affaires at the
Norwegian embassy in Beirut representing the ambassador her excellency
Ms.Anne Lind, and and Ms. Miriam Azar, Advisor for Development and
Cooperation and the Finnish embassy in Beirut representing the Charge
d'Affaires Mr.Matti Lassilla, The National Institution of Social Care and
Vocational Training organized its 10th annual conference on Mental Health
entitled: "Being Palestinian: Human Rights, Identity and Mental
Health"in close cooperation with the Family Guidance Centers.
Various local and
international NGOs and associations were present beside representatives of the
civil society andB.A.S partners and members.
The 10th annual conference
commemorated the 40th anniversary of establishment of Beit Atfal Assumoud and
coincided with 20 years of services launching at the Family Guidance Center in
Beirut. The conference ended by Palestinian Folkloric musical evening,
involving the children from all BAS centers, included dance, songs and plays.
