THEY STAYED BUT THEIR SHOES TRAVELED
 
They stayed but their shoes went
In honoring the children of Palestine who were supposed to run in the Finnish mini marathon, sponsored by the Extreme Survival Team, many shoes belonging to Palestinian children and sent to Finland for the use of making a statue representing the mini marathon runner.
Very precise planning was done and lots of hard work and coordination, between Extreme Survival Team and NISCVT in order for this statue to happen, the opening was on 29th of may 2010, Dr. Faizah Masri Extreme Survival Team coodinator was present at the opening, accompanied by Kirsti, Sirkku, Nina, Mikko, Anneli Sipil?inen the artist, who we are very thankful to them, without their hard work, it wouldn’t have happened.
